On Friday 26th April, White Ensign Lodge initiated its second candidate of the year into Freemasonry and in particular White Ensign Lodge.
The candidate, Mr Nick Walker of the Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club in Redditch branch who happens to be one of its co-founders. This being an extra-ordinary meeting, no other business was conducted other than to initiate Nick. The Immediate Past Master opened the lodge and the gavel was passed to W.Bro. Ian Hart to conduct the initiation ceremony; Bro. Bobby Gill lead the candidate around during the ceremony and our most recent initiate Bro. Matt Price delivered the working tools in a fine manner, the candidate subsequently retired from the lodge room. The gavel was passed back to the Immediate Past Master, the newly initiated candidate returned to the lodge room where upon Bro. Paul Tuckley delivered the Charge to the Initiate. The lodge was closed and the brethren retired to the Festive Board. The amount raised during the evening was a total of £378 which will be given to the SSAFA charity.
